Sally Go Round The MoonWinner of 2008 Parents' Choice Silver Honours!
Quiet Songs and Lullabies From the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program Kathy Reid Naiman has once again collaborated with the Parent-Child
Mother Goose Program to create two CDs of music from parent-child
programs throughout M0703Review:
Kathy Reid-Naiman's latest CD, Sally Go Round the Moon, is a collection
of quiet songs and lullabies. Beginning with the Ostrovsky/Botting
classic "May There Always Be Sunshine" Reid-Naiman wins over young
listeners with her clear, gentle voice and light instrumentation. She
continues with several classic songs such as "My Bonnie Lies Over the
Ocean," and "You Are My Sunshine," as well as some traditional tunes
from various cultures, including "Tall Trees" (Austrailian Aboriginal),
"Land of the Silver Birch" (Canadian), "Babushka Baio" (Russian), and
"Big Moon Bright Moon" (Appalachian). Reid-Naiman also covers some nice
songs by fellow label mates Debbie Carroll ("Up and Over the Moon") and
Ken Whiteley ("Go to Sleep"). Well crafted and performed, this is a
peaceful and restful album. Track Listing 1. May There Always Be Sunshine |
