Debbie Carroll (B.Mus.Ed., B.Ed.) is a children’s performer, song-writer and workshop leader. Having taught early childhood music for 15 years, Debbie loves to share songs that capture the imagination and encourage participation. A multi-instrumentalist, she plays piano, Celtic harp, flute, dulcimer and guitar. Her music collection for young children includes fingerplays, action songs and lullabies, with themes that range from fish, fairies and elephants to the twinkling stars in the night sky!

“Simply Beautiful" is an inspiring collection of dances, action songs and quiet time music drawn from the Celtic, Appalachian, spiritual and Canadian traditions. Along with a wonderful roster of Canadian musicians, including Ken Whiteley, Kathy Reid-Naiman, David Francey, Sharlene Wallace and others, Debbie has created another exciting musical adventure for children and their grownups.
Debbie studied music and education at the University of Western Ontario, London. She attained the Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Music Education from Ryerson University and the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, and is now an executive member of the Early Childhood Music Association of Ontario. Debbie's Teakettle Press is another avenue through which she is sharing music for early childhood with other teachers and parents.
She is presently working on a collection of songs and rhymes for young children.Debbie lives in Toronto, Canada, with her husband Bill and 2 curious cats. Her 2 grown children, Kevin and Lisa, like to make music and costumes. Debbie loves to read, travel, garden, go for walks, watch sunsets and make music with friends.
